Peel the potatoes and cut into sticks. Coarsely chop the onion. Place half of the potatoes in a greased gratin dish.

Cover with onions, then place anchovy fillets on top. Keep the anchovy marinade. Form the rest of the potatoes on top of the anchovy fillets, sprinkle with bread crumbs and top with butter flakes.

Pour the anchovy marinade from the can and half of the whipped cream. Place gratin dish in the oven at 220-225 °C and bake for 50- 60 min. After half the time, add the rest of the whipped cream.
