For the fried khao pad rice, first heat oil in the wok and immediately turn down to a lower flame.

Sauté chopped garlic and meat together with sugar in the wok and as soon as the meat is cooked, crack the egg into the wok, let it set briefly and stir.

Add long grain rice and vegetables with onions, keep stirring, season with soy sauce and fry for a few more minutes.

Serve the fried Khao Pad rice with freshly ground pepper.
