Instructions:

A bean recipe for every taste:

1. for the garlic butter, place butter, garlic and parsley in a suitable bowl and mix with a wooden spoon. Shape garlic butter onto a piece of parchment paper, roll into a cigar shape and wrap in the parchment paper. Place in refrigerator to cool until needed.

2. using a potato masher, mash red kidney beans in a frying pan and mix in 75 g breadcrumbs.

3. melt butter in a heavy bottomed frying pan. Add leek and celery and sauté briefly over low heat for 3 – 4 min, stirring throughout.

Add the bean mixture to the frying pan together with the parsley, season with salt and freshly ground pepper and mix well. Remove frying pan from the kitchen stove and cool leisurely.

5. divide kidney bean mixture into 4 on-the-spot portions and shape into oval patties.

6. cut garlic butter into 4 pieces and form one slice in the center of each bean patty. Using your hands, mold the bean mixture around the garlic butter so that it is completely covered.

7. dip each bean patty in the egg to start, then turn to the other side in the remaining breadcrumbs.

Heat a little oil in a frying pan and roast the patties for 7-10 min until golden brown. Turn once to the other side during this process. Bring to the table immediately.
