75 min, time-consuming Soak the chops in water for one night and soften them the following day in 20-half hours (depending on the size). After that, mince the cucumbers. – Keep the cooking water for the time being! Add poppy seeds to the minced pears, season with cinnamon, ground cloves, sugar and rum. Add just enough cooking water to make a firm, compact mixture (even firmer than jam!). Cool and let sit in the refrigerator for 1-2 days.

Cut the soft light butter into small pieces and heat together with the milk. Mix in the flour, salt and schnapps and knead into a smooth dough. When warm, roll out the dough as thinly as possible (it must not be allowed to cool) and cut out squares of about 5×5 cm with a pastry wheel. Put 1 heaped tsp of the filling on it, wrap the dough (put the bottom two ends of the dough on the top two) and press the edges together.

Fry out in hot vegetable fat. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and bring to table.
