Lamb Steaks in Tomato Sauce

Instructions:

For the lamb steaks in tomato sauce, season the meat with salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme, marjoram and Worcester sauce and let marinate for 2 hours.

Dip tomatoes briefly in boiling water and peel. Finely chop onion and garlic cloves.

Heat oil in a skillet and fry steaks on both sides to nice color. Remove from pan and keep warm.

Degrease the frying residue and lightly fry the onion and garlic in it. Add tomato paste, parsley, thyme and marjoram and fry briefly.

Crush the tomatoes and add them as well. Season with salt, lemon juice and pepper.

Cook on low heat until smooth and then pass through a fine sieve.

Finely slice mushrooms, add to sauce with steaks, cover and steam until tender.

Arrange the lamb steaks on warmed plates.
