For the letcho, remove the stalk, seeds and inner walls from the peppers. Wash and cut into rings or strips about 1 cm wide. Peel and dice the onions. Remove stalk and seeds from tomatoes and dice as well.

Heat lard or oil in a saucepan and sauté onions. Add the bell pepper strips and tomatoes. Season with salt and hot paprika powder and stir. Pour in water so that the vegetables are slightly covered. Let steam for 10 min.

Cut pork into bite-sized pieces and fry briefly in a pan. Pour into a roasting pan with the letcho and steam in a preheated oven at 200° Celsius for 45 min.

Serve the letcho with white bread!
