Instructions:

Mix 2/3 of the coconut powder with water (1), one third of the coconut powder with water (2) (1. u. 2. “Santan”).

The crushed coriander, cummin, chilies and anise are fried in a little oil until dark brown. Now onions, garlic and ginger are also crushed and mixed with the fried paste.

The lamb is cooked with the 2nd salt, turmeric, santan, cinnamon and water (3) with the lid closed. If necessary, add more water.

When the meat is cooked, add the crushed spices, tamarind juice and 1st santan and cook gently for 4-5 min. repeatedly, stirring throughout.

Serve hot. Long grain rice goes well with it.

Tip: Stock up on high-quality spices – it pays off!
