For the marzipan puff pastry, cut the milk rolls lengthwise. Slice the marzipan and cover half of the milk rolls with it. Cover with the remaining milk rolls.

Beat the eggs. Mix the cream, eggs, orange peel powder, orange liqueur and vanilla sugar well. Toss in the filled milk rolls and let soak briefly. Lift out and drain.

Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the pofesen until they float. Drain on paper towels and arrange the marzipan buns sprinkled with powdered sugar.
