A recipe for asparagus for gourmets:

Add the bay spice, a tiny bit of salt and freshly ground pepper.

Sauté the vegetables for about 15 minutes, stirring continuously with a wooden spoon. Then add the boiling water or chicken stock, if necessary, and the tomato sauce. Let the soup boil and make it over reduced temperature, half with the lid closed for 15 min. Later remove the bay leaf seasoning. If the soup is too thick, dilute it with a little bit of boiling water. At the end add the remaining butter and season the soup. Serve the minestrone very hot and offer a dessert bowl with freshly grated Parmesan cheese separately.
