For the muffins, cream the butter with the eggs and the sugar and vanilla sugar. Mix the flour with the baking powder and sift over the butter foam.

Mix everything into a fine dough, gradually adding enough milk so that the dough slides easily off the spoon. Fill the muffin cups 2/3 full with the batter and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 20 minutes (test with chopsticks).

Leave the muffins to cool for about 5 minutes in the mold and then finally on a cooling rack.
