Try this delicious cake recipe:
Combine flour, oil, salt and water to make a smooth strudel dough. Knead thoroughly and whip, then let stand covered in a baking bowl for 1/2 hour.
In the meantime, peel, quarter and finely slice the apples.
Divide the dough into four parts. Pull each out separately into thin sheets (note: this is best done with closed fists over the back of the hand, place on a floured kitchen towel for further processing).
Layer sheets of dough, apple slices, thick sour cream, raisins and sugar on top of each other.
In a roasting pan, heat 2 inches of milk with a knob of butter.
Roll up the strudel and fill it. Bake until golden brown, sprinkle with sugar and bring to the table.
