Instructions:

For the nut slices, beat the sugar, butter, egg and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Once the mixture is fluffy and creamy, fold in the remaining ingredients and spread on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Bake the dough on the middle shelf at 200° C (top and bottom heat) for about 20 minutes. During the waiting time, mix the currant jelly until it has a liquid, spreadable consistency.

Once the dough is baked, spread evenly (not too thickly) with the jelly while still warm and then sprinkle with the grated walnuts. Divide the nut slices into rectangular pieces and serve with whipped cream.
