Instructions:

Beat the egg whites until very stiff, leaving a cut visible with a knife. Gradually beat in the sugar and continue beating until it is completely dissolved (about 10 minutes). Gently fold the grated nuts, flour and vanilla sugar into the beaten egg whites. Pour the mixture into a piping bag with a hole nozzle and pipe 1.5 x 5 cm double bars onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Sprinkle with the chopped nuts and bake in the preheated oven at 165 °C for approx. 18 minutes. Remove the nut sticks from the baking sheet while they are lukewarm and assemble two each with jam.
