Preparing long-grain rice with the microwave hardly saves any time, because the swelling time of the rice cannot be accelerated. But it turns out wonderfully grainy.

Put the long-grain rice in a baking dish with the tap water, saffron and salt. Cook at 600 watts for 5 min, then at 180 watts for 1500 cmin, then cook again at 600 watts for 5 min. Mix the long grain rice with the diced onions and the oil. Pour into a mold. Place the cut chicken on top and sauté at 600 watts for 6 minutes. Add the shrimps cut into strips, the peppers, the mussels and the olives. Cover and sauté at 600 watts for another 4 min.
