Instructions:

Sift the flour into a large enough bowl. Add the maple syrup, baking powder, salt, egg and the me and mix with a mixer until a smooth dough. Let the dough rise at room temperature for about half an hour with the lid closed.

In a non-stick frying pan, melt a little butter.

Gradually add a little bit of batter to the frying pan with a ladle, and over medium heat, cook each person three small, thick pancakes on both sides until golden brown.

Drizzle the pancakes generously with maple syrup to serve.

Mix eggs with milk, sugar and vanilla until hearty. Remove the crusts from the slices of boxed white bread and cut in half crosswise.

Toast the bacon in a heavy frying pan until crisp, remove, keep warm.

Cream the butter in a frying pan. Turn bread wedges briefly in egg milk to other side, then fry in butter over medium heat until golden brown. Top with bacon, drizzle with maple syrup and bring to table on the spot.

Info: Pancakes are often topped with additional pieces of butter, which the temperature of the pancakes allows to melt. Fried bacon slices are also a popular addition. Or you can mix blueberries, diced apples or nuts into the batter.

Tip: Use your favorite ham – then your dish tastes twice as good!
