For the papaya with Parma ham, peel the papayas, cut them in half and remove the seeds. Cut the papayas into slices about 1 ½ cm.

Peel the well cooled pear and remove the casing. Cut the pear into thin strips. Drizzle the papayas and the pear strips with lemon or lime juice.

Place the Parma ham on 4 plates and garnish with the papaya and pear strips. Sprinkle some fresh black pepper on the ham.

Serve the papaya with Parma ham with toast and butter.
