Instructions:

Soak yellow peas for one night. There must be twice as many peas in the saucepan as water.

Add a good piece of beef jerky and simmer on low heat for three hours. Strain the peas and season with salt and freshly ground pepper.

The cooked jerky is served in slices with the pea porridge. Finally, sprinkle the porridge with fried cubes of dried meat and onion (“Brocksel”).
