For the peanut soup, heat the olive oil in a pan. Lightly sauté the onions and peppers. Add the garlic when the onions and peppers are almost cooked.

Add the tomato sauce, stirring, then the Geműsesuppe, pepper and chili powder. Reduce the temperature and simmer gently for about 30 minutes without a lid.

Then add the rice and simmer gently for about 15 minutes until the rice is cooked. Finally, stir in the peanut cream. Serve the soup directly in warmed bowls.

Garnish with chives and a dollop of whipped cream, if desired.
