For the plum cake, beat the egg whites until stiff. Cream butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and yolks until fluffy, alternately stir in the flour with the sifted baking powder and the milk.

Then gently fold in the stiff egg whites and spread the mixture onto a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Cover with the plums and bake the plum cake at 160°C for about 40 minutes.
