For the potato zucchini casserole, cut potatoes and zucchini into thin slices, onion into fine rings, garlic small and ham into thin strips.

Butter the casserole dish and line it first with potatoes, then add onion rings, garlic, herbs and ham on top, lastly the zucchini slices.

Then layer in potatoes, onion, garlic, herbs and ham once more and finish with zucchini again. Stir pepper, salt and nutmeg into the whipped cream and pour over the top.

Finally, spread the cheese and put the casserole in the oven at 180 °C for about 25 minutes.
