For the puff pastry football, first preheat the oven to 190 °C hot air. Cover a baking tray with baking paper.

For the filling, drain the mozzarella well and cut into cubes. Drain the tomato cubes as well. Cut the basil into fine strips. Mix with the remaining ingredients for the filling.

Loosely fold the puff pastry and cut out pieces of dough in the shape of a football. This way, 2 are always exactly the same. Peel down the top puff pastry footballs and set aside. Place the bottom ones on the baking sheet and put a little filling in the center. Place the other pieces on top.

Use a fork to press down the edges. Poke three small strips in the center (seam of the football). Brush with beaten egg and put the puff pastry footballs in the oven for about 10-15 minutes.
