A cake recipe for all foodies:

Preheat the stove to 220 °C.

For the dough, sift flour into a suitable bowl, add cold butter in small pieces. Lightly grate both with your hands until the mixture is evenly crumbly. Make a bulge in the center. Pour in cold water and salt. Mix with a wooden spoon. Knead rapidly until dough no longer sticks. set aside to chill for half an hour.

Grease a tart springform pan, line with the dough, raising a rim and pricking the bottom with a fork.

For the topping, put pumpkin in a little salted water and steam until soft, about 15 min. When soft, mash the flesh.

Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Stir in egg yolks. Mix in cinnamon and ginger powder. Fold in cornstarch and shortening. Spread the cream on the prepared pastry case and bake in the oven heated to 200 °C for 20 minutes.

In the meantime, whip the egg whites to stiff peaks and spread evenly over the pumpkin pie. Place again in the oven until the egg whites are light brown (about 20 min).
