A simple but delicious cake recipe:
(*) Cooking as in the Palatinate Mix half the amount of flour with yeast and cow’s milk. Let the dough rise in a warm place. Add the remaining flour, softened butter, eggs, sugar and salt.
Let the dough rise again in a warm place.
Roll out the dough thinly and place it on a large greased baking tray, raising the edge.
Rinse the plums, remove the stones and score them “zipflig”. Place the fruit on the dough in the shape of a roof tile.
Let the cake rise again for a short time. Bake it in the oven heated to 200 degrees for about 45 minutes. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon while still hot.
