Total time: 45 min

Ingredients:

Optional:

Instructions:

Remove the skin from the quinces, remove the core, cut into small pieces and place in the Kelomat. Add a mug of water and place the steam insert on top.

Next, add the quince cubes cut into small pieces to the steam insert.

Close the lid and let it boil until the valve is at level 2.

Steam for about half an hour, then check if the quinces are soft, provided that they are not new, add a few minutes and then transfer the quince pieces into a suitable bowl, pour the juice through a sieve over the quinces.

On top, put the quinces repeatedly in a pot, add the juice and the grated peel of the oranges, as well as the lemon, also a stick of cinnamon and a nice piece of ginger.

If necessary, add a little apple juice, but the quinces should not be covered with liquid. Weigh the contents of the pot and add household sugar 1:1.

Let it bubble up and make in about 20 min until everything together has taken on a nice red color – make a jelly test, if it doesn’t gel yet, make a little longer, for me it was 20 min.

Immediately empty into hot rinsed jars, seal and turn upside down. Or cover with moistened canning cellophane.
