For the bacon green beans, rinse the green beans with cold water. Cut off the tips and stems, and pull off the threads if necessary. Bring salted water to a boil with a pinch of baking soda and cook the runner beans until al dente. Strain, rinse with cold water and drain. Divide the runner beans into eight equal portions. Wrap each portion with two strips of bacon and secure with toothpicks or twine, if desired. Heat a little butter in a frying pan and fry the bacon-wrapped runner beans until the bacon is crispy.

For the rump steaks, season the steaks with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet and add the rump steaks. Sear on both sides for 2 minutes, reduce heat and fry again for 2 minutes on both sides. Transfer the meat pieces to a plate or baking dish and cover. Let rest in preheated oven for 5 more minutes.

Place the rump steaks on the plates and arrange with the bacon green beans.
