A cake recipe for all foodies:
Peel, halve and core apples. Cut apples first into wedges, then into small pieces. Sprinkle with rum and pull a little.
Cream butter, vanilla sugar and sugar. Fold in eggs a little at a time. Combine flour, baking powder and cocoa, sift over the top and fold in. Stir nuts and cinnamon into the dough. Perhaps drain apples a tiny bit and fold in.
Grease a 22 cm cake pan and sprinkle with a little flour. Pour the batter into the pan and bake the cake in a heated oven at 175-200 degrees for about 1 hour.
Cool the cake a little bit and turn it out. Before serving, dust with powdered sugar and decorate with nuts of your choice.
