For the rye bread, knead all ingredients well together to form a dough. Let the dough rise until doubled in volume. Knead well again by hand and place in a loaf pan.
Bake at 200 degrees top-bottom heat for about 30 minutes. Remove the bread from the from and place on a baking tray, finish baking for another 30 minutes. During baking, place a bowl of water in the oven.
After baking, sprinkle the rye bread with water and let it cool.
