For the Savoy style potatoes, slice onions and fry in butter until golden brown.

Mix with the peeled, raw sliced potatoes and the cheese cut into small slices.

Pour into a greased baking dish. Season soup with salt, pepper, aroma and nutmeg and pour over potatoes. Bake for about 1 hour at 220°C.
