For the shepherd’s pie, cut meat, liver and bacon into pieces of as equal size as possible. Season with salt, pepper, thyme or paprika powder and mix briefly. Remove seeds from peppers, wash and also cut into pieces. Cut tomatoes and onion into wedges and cheese into pieces.

Now alternate meat, bacon, cheese and vegetables on wooden or metal skewers. Season shepherd skewers again and brush generously with oil. Grill in a hot pan or on the grill for 10-15 minutes all around, depending on the degree of cooking.

Serve with roast potatoes, French fries, baked potatoes, salads and barbecue sauces.
