For the spicy rice, cook the rice according to package directions. Remove the seeds from the bell bell pepper and dice it. Cut the onion and ham into strips. Saute the onion and diced peppers in hot olive oil in a non-stick pan for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Then add the sliced ham and water and bring to a boil briefly. Now fold in the finished rice, season well with salt, pepper and paprika powder. Serve hot.
