For sugar milk bread, first prepare the milk bread. To do this, heat the butter with the milk.
Then knead flour, powdered sugar, milk-butter mix, dry yeast and yolks to a smooth yeast dough. Let the dough rise in a warm place until it has doubled in volume.
Knead dough again by hand and mix in raisins if desired.
Divide dough ball into 3 strands, braid into a plait and coat with egg white. Bake in the oven at 180 °C top-bottom heat for about 30-40 minutes. Let the milk bread cool down.
For the icing, mix the sugar well with lemon juice – until a thick paste is formed. Decorate the cooled plait with the icing, let it dry slightly.
Serve sugar milk bread.
