Cake springform pan of 24 cm ø.

Briefly soak the raisins covered with hot water.

Beat the softened butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar until hearty. Then fold in one egg at a time, beating well repeatedly.

Mix flour, almond kernels and baking powder and stir into the dough. Butter the cake springform pan and dust with flour. Pour the batter into it.

Remove the skin from the apples, cut them in half, remove the core and brush the fruit with the juice of one lemon. Cut the apple halves in on the round side like a fan, but do not cut through. Arrange the apples in a wreath shape on the dough. Next, sprinkle the drained raisins and the almond flakes evenly over the cake.

Meanwhile, bake the apple cake in the oven heated to 200 °C on the lowest shelf for about 45 minutes.
