For the sweet pretzels, preheat the oven to 180 °C.
Remove the puff pastry from the package, leave the roll rolled up and cut into 2 cm wide pieces. Roll out the strips and remove the baking paper. Place 3 strips on top of each other, twist the strand inside and intertwine to form a pretzel.
Whisk the egg yolks, mix with the milk and brush the 4 pretzels with it and sprinkle with hail sugar and the chopped hazelnuts.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, place the pretzels and let them rest for 10 minutes.
Place the sweet pretzels in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. The pretzels are ready when they are baked golden brown.
