For the Tarte Tatin with apples, first separate the apples from the skin, cut them into quarters, remove the core and cut these quarters into small slices.

Butter a small cake pan and sprinkle it thickly with sugar. Arrange the apple slices in a flaky pattern, cover with puff pastry and place the Tarte Tatin with apples in the oven preheated to 200 °C for 20 minutes. Turn out carefully to serve.
