Instructions:

Separate the eggs.

Beat vanilla sugar, sugar, egg yolks and salt until creamy.

Add curd, cornstarch, whipped cream and grated almonds.

Beat the egg whites until stiff. Pit cherries and cut in half.

Fold cherries and beaten egg whites into yolk mixture and pour batter into a greased cake springform pan.

Bake the cake for 45 minutes at medium heat.
