Uhudler Stars

For the Uhudlersterne, prepare the short pastry as described in the basic recipe.

Preheat the oven to 170 ºC hot air.

Roll out the dough on a floured work surface. Cut out stars. Cut a hole in half of the cookies. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 12 minutes.

After cooling, sprinkle the cookie stars with the hole with powdered sugar. Using Uhudler jam or other dark jam, glue each cookie base together with a perforated star.
