For the vanilla bread, beat sugar with yolks over steam until thick and fluffy, remove from heat and continue beating until cool.

Fold in the scraped out vanilla pods and the stiff snow from 4 clear. Sift flour over the top and fold in.

Spread on a greased, floured baking sheet, bake and cut into strips when cooled.
