For the vanilla pear pudding, put a few tablespoons of the 500 ml pear juice in a measuring cup, bring the remaining juice to a boil.

To the juice in the measuring cup, add the vanilla pudding powder and sugar and whisk until smooth. When the pear juice boils, reduce the heat slightly and whisk in the mixture from the measuring cup until the custard thickens slightly, about 2 minutes.

Pour into 4 small bowls and chill.
