Instructions:

For the vegetable stew, peel, wash and chop the onion. Wash the pork, dab dry, cut into small cubes and fry vigorously in hot oil or lard.

Add the onion cubes, the chili pepper cut into small rings and the chopped garlic and fry everything. Deglaze with white wine and vegetable stock.

Add bay leaf, allspice seeds and savory and let it cook at low temperature for about 30 minutes.

When the meat is almost soft enough, add the mixed vegetables and rice to the pot, season with salt and pepper and let everything simmer covered for another 30 minutes.

If the vegetable stew is still too thick, add some more vegetable stock and season if necessary. Remove bay leaf and pimento seeds.

Spread in warmed bowl or plate, put 1 tbsp sour cream on top, sprinkle with finely chopped parsley and serve.
