For the wholemeal rye wafers, mix rye meal, wheat flour, yeast, salt, sugar, water, melted butter and eggs to a smooth dough (the dough must be thick).

Let rise for about 20-30 minutes. Preheat the waffle iron, grease it and pour the dough into it with a ladle. Bake not too hot for about 5-7 minutes.
