This winter pizza beguiles not only with its great taste, but also with the wonderful colors that make you forget the often dreary winter weather.

For the winter pizza prepare the following:

Basil pesto: wash the basil, chop it finely and puree it in a blender with the peeled garlic clove, the pine nuts, the Parmesan cheese and half of the olive oil. Season with salt and mix in the remaining olive oil.

Cut the turkey meat into small bite-sized pieces and sauté briefly in olive oil.

Divide the mozzarella into small pieces.

For the pizza dough, mix the yeast and sugar together in a little water and dissolve. The water should only be lukewarm so that the yeast is not damaged. Combine the flour and salt and mix thoroughly with the oil, the remaining water and the yeast-water mixture using a dough hook in a mixer.When the dough comes away from the side of the bowl, take it out and continue kneading with your hands for a few more minutes. The reward for the effort is a nice silky shiny dough. Don’t knead the dough too long in the mixer or it will become too rubbery and won’t work well. Now put the dough back in the bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for about half an hour. The warmer the resting place, the faster the yeast dough will rise.
