For zsammglegte dumplings make the strudel dough a little harder and let it rest for half an hour. Cut the bread into small cubes, mix with egg, salt and parsley and roast in lard.

Roll out the strudel dough, cut into pieces, cover with the bread filling and fold together, pressing well.

Boil the dumplings in lightly salted water.
